Please phone our office at Hartcliffe Way on +44 (0) 1173 250 331, 30 minutes prior to arrival so we can arrange for one of our staff to meet you in front of Bristol Temple Meads train station. You will then be transported back to our office, where your rental agreement will be completed. Please note you must return your vehicle to our location at Hartcliffe Way, Bristol, BS3 5SD and we will transport you back to the station.

Driver's age

25 to 99 years.

Young driver's age: 23 to 24 years. Charge 36 GBP per day. Maximum 360 GBP. Includes 20% tax

Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to hire a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.

Travel Restrictions

Hertz vehicles cannot be driven in and/or dropped off in any African, Asian and Middle-East country, nor in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Standard vehicles (with the exception of groups G/H) with a maximum of 5 seats and van groups A4/B4/C4/D4/E4/G4/J4 may be taken abroad. Vehicles with 6 seats or more and any belongings to the following Collections may not be taken abroad - Dream/Electric/Fun/Green/Prestige. Van groups not specified above, specialist vans and high roof vans may also not be taken abroad.

Other restrictions:

A one way rental is a rental which starts at one location and terminates at another. Availability is subject to location restrictions and vehicle type. A fee may apply for this service and will be advised at time of reservation.

One-way rentals to the following islands: Isle of Man, Guernsey or Jersey are available with an additional fee in the amount of GBP 600.00 (including tax) on all vehicle groups.

One way rentals from UK mainland to the Scottish islands are not allowed.

One way rentals are not allowed for Dream Collection vehicle groups.

Should these restrictions be ignored, all insurance (Third Party Liability, CDW, TP, PI), if accepted, shall be null and void. The driver will be held fully responsible in case of accidents and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle.

Continental Surcharge:

All vehicles are automatically covered with European Motoring Assistance. However if you wish to take a UK registered vehicle abroad, you are required by law tobe in possession of a VE103B form which is proof Hertz have permitted the vehicle to travel abroad. Charges for issuing a VE103B are as follows:

Fee: £ 79.20 (1-2 day rentals) or £ 92.40 (3-5 day rentals) or £ 118.80 (6-7 day rentals) or £ 158.40 (8-13 day rentals) or £ 171.60 (14-20 day rentals) or £ 171.60 + £ 79.20 per week (rentals over 21 days).

This fee applies even if you have a continental cover which covers hire vehicles. No fee applies for NorthernIreland and Isle of Wight. The cover can only be purchased at time of pick-up.

Addional equipment may be required for vehicles being taken out of the UK mainland to meet the legal requirements of the country visited. You are responsible for purchasing this additional equipment.
